Road Closure – Moote Road Bridge

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION – Moote Road Bridge Rehabilitation.

Haldimand County’s 2024 Bridge Rehabilitation program is underway and the Moote Road
bridge located on Moote Road north of Lane Road is scheduled for repairs beginning on April
15, 2024. The bridge will be closed for the duration of the repairs. The Contractor will be
mobilizing and setting up signs in the days leading up to this closure. The map below shows the
roads that will be available as a detour route around the bridge. It is anticipated that work will
be completed by mid-June 2024.

Residents can use Hart Road, and Swayze Road to circumvent the closure.

Staff understand that construction may cause temporary headaches to residents and business owners and ask that all affected individuals remain patient. The end goal of all construction work is to enhance our neighborhoods and communities and the County is committed to minimizing disruption by communicating construction information in a timely manner and responding to resident needs/concerns.
