Welcome to the Haldimand County Student Online Application!

Haldimand County is offering Summer student employment opportunities to students who are enrolled in school or who are returning to school in the fall of 2024.

A student is defined as:

  • a person between the ages of 15 and 24; and
  • will be returning to school in the fall

Before Starting the Student Application Read the Information Below

Please note that once you start filling in the student application, you must complete the entire application to be considered for employment; partial applications will not be accepted. It is extremely important that your application is complete before you submit it.

Please ensure your cover letter and your up-to-date resume are prepared and saved as a single document before you start to complete the online application. Your document must be saved in Microsoft Word (.docx) or Adobe PDF (.pdf) format. This information is required as part of this application and only one document can be attached to the completed application form.

  • The online student application will remain open until April 30th, 2024. However, please note that applications received after the deadline through April 30th, 2024 will only be considered if there are still positions available after the initial round of hiring.

Application Submission

  • Please complete only one application taking care to indicate all positions that you want to be considered for on one single application.

Confirmation Your Application has Been Received

  • Once you have successfully completed the application, you will receive a notification with an applicant number to confirm it was received. This notification will be sent to the email address you provide. Please be sure your email address is entered correctly and don’t forget to check your inbox for this notice of receipt. If you do not receive an email notification, please check your junk/spam folders. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact careers@haldimandcounty.on.ca as soon as possible.

Status of your Application

  • Information regarding the status of your application CANNOT be provided by Human Resources via the careers@haldimandcounty.on.ca. If you have been contacted for an interview, please reach out to the appropriate division as needed.

Interviews

  • If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted via email or by phone by a County representative. Please do not call various Haldimand County divisions inquiring about interview schedules. Remember, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
