In Case of Emergency Call 9-1-1

Haldimand County Paramedic Services is comprised of 66 paramedics (32 full-time and 34 part-time) who operate 7 ambulances from 4 stations. They respond to an average of 10,000 calls per year.

Haldimand County Paramedic Services commit to being mobile to emergency calls in the community within 90 seconds of a paramedic crew’s notification from the Central Ambulance Communications Centre. Haldimand County’s response time commitment can be found in the Council Report section, report CMS-ES-12-2011.

The operations of Haldimand County Paramedic Services are managed by three Deputy Chiefs: Dan Williston, Don Otterman and Joe Pacheco (acting capacity). Paramedics also participate in many community events and public relations activities each year that focus on emergency medical service awareness and injury prevention. The Paramedic Services division also operates a bike medic program that deploys paramedics on bicycles at community events, fairs and festivals throughout the county.
