Dog Licences
Our Animal Control By-law requires all dogs in Haldimand County over 16 weeks of age to be licensed. Dog licences are valid from January 1 to December 31 of each year.
How to get a dog licence
Licences are available November 1 for the next calendar year.
You can purchase a licence online by visiting DocuPet or in person at the following locations:
- Haldimand County Administration Building
- All Haldimand County Public Library branches
Annual dog licence fees
A valid rabies certificate, spay/neuter and microchip/tattoo certificate must be produced at purchase to qualify for the associated fee. Pit bulls are prohibited and cannot be licensed.
