Nomination Process:

• For a Nominee to be considered, the Nomination Form must be completed in full and submitted with supporting documents outlining the Nominee’s achievements. Please ensure you include all volunteer activities of the Nominee;
• Eligibility and Criteria: Any Individual, Not-for-Profit or Organization may submit more than one nomination. An Individual, Not-for-Profit or Organization may nominate themselves;
• Political and public advocacy work are not eligible and will not be considered; and,
• It is the responsibility of the Nominator to inform the proposed Nominee of the submission. By submitting an entry you automatically grant Haldimand County the right to use any materials in the entry for editorial, analytical, promotional or any other purpose without additional permission or compensation.

Community Project Award Criteria:

• An Individual, Not-for-Profit or Community Group which has initiated, organized and implemented a project for the benefit of Haldimand County residents and visitors;
• The primary volunteer activity/event must have taken place in the past 18 months. A Recognition Night recipient from the previous year is not eligible to be nominated in the same category;
• Project is civic-minded in nature and contributes to civic and community pride;
• Project may involve the collaboration and coordination of many partners;
• Contribution is primarily tangible (e.g. a building, amenity enhancement, website, etc.) and must be substantially completed by August 1st prior to Recognition Night;
• Project measurably enhances the quality of life and well-being of residents and visitors to Haldimand County; and,
• Nominee has demonstrated leadership, innovation and involvement at a Committee level with significant time and commitment to the project.

Nomination Must Include:

• The applicable Nomination Form with all sections and questions completed in full;
• Extra pages if more space is required; and,
• Other supporting materials (e.g. publications, photos, media stories, video, etc.).

PLEASE NOTE NOMINATIONS WILL BE JUDGED AS PRESENTED.

Using the Award Criteria, please provide specific details when describing the Nominee. 

Focus on successful volunteer efforts, contributions and accomplishments.
