The Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library are non-profit organizations of public service-minded volunteers, dedicated to promoting and supporting library services in their community.  Each Friends group is as unique as the community they serve; organized and ran by community members with Library staff support.

The Friends are always looking for new members! Contact the Caledonia, Dunnville or Jarvis libraries to learn more about becoming a Friend.

Have you heard about Silent Book Clubs?

  • Are you an adult who loves to read but find it hard to set aside the time?
  • Would you like to read with other book loving people without an assigned book, designated reading assignments or discussion questions?
  • Would you like to read your own book with the option of socializing?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then you may enjoy participating in the Silent Book Club at the Caledonia Library Branch being organized by the Friends of the Caledonia Library!

Bring whatever book you would like or pick up a book at the library, sit and mingle for a short time while enjoying some light refreshments. Then at the allotted time everyone will be asked to take out their books and read silently.

The first Silent Book Club will take place on Wednesday September 18th from 6pm to 8pm  in the Caledonia Public Library.
