In person book club meetings have resumed and new members are always welcome! Click the book club tabs below for details.

Join your friends and neighbours in informal yet stimulating conversations by sharing your thoughts on our book club selections. Your library’s book clubs continue to grow in popularity and are constantly adding fresh and engaging titles to their rosters.

B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Book Club)

Adults, age 14 and up, are invited to join the Haldimand County Public Library’s new virtual book club. Unlike other book clubs where everyone reads the same title at B.Y.O.B. Club you pick the titles you want to read. Each month based on the theme (mystery, banned books, bestsellers, etc.)  YOU choose a title to read and discuss at the meeting. Titles read can be in print, digital (e-books) or audio formats.

Meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm via Zoom. All sessions will be hosted by Library staff who will not only help with discussions but will also guide the readers towards their next choices. Email kkrupicz@haldimandcounty.on.ca to register and receive the Zoom link.

Start Your Own Book Club!

Are you interested in starting up a book club at your local library branch? If so, we would love to hear from you. Book clubs receive support in selecting and acquiring their books as well as monthly access to our meeting rooms for meeting. All clubs must be open to the public. If you are interested in starting a book club, please contact our Community Outrech Coordinator at kkrupicz@haldimandcounty.on.ca

Donating to The Library

Haldimand County Public Library is a registered non-profit charity. You can make a difference in the community by making a financial donation to the Library. Donation assist us to expanding collections as well as improving our programs and services.

Donations can be made in person by cash or cheque. Please inform staff if you would like the donation to go towards a specific branch, collection or service. Tax receipts are available upon request.

If you would like your donation to go towards a specific branch, collection or service please specify in the “Send a message to this charity” field.
