DementiAbility Home Unit
Grandview Lodge has a DementiAbility home unit where Residents living with dementia are able to live a meaningful life. The DementiAbility home unit utilizes Montessori concepts and Butterfly Care philosophies to promote the most dignified living environment for our Residents living with varying forms and stages of dementia.
Physicians and Family Conferences
Family conferences with one of our Attending Physicians and our Director of Nursing can be scheduled with families and their loved one residing in our home to answer any questions they have about care provided by the home.
Our Attending Physicians are Dr. Ahmed Kamouna and Dr. Omar Ezzat.
Our Medical Director, Dr. Kamouna, reviews and oversees medical policies and procedures and introduces and supports best practices in our home.
Our Dentist and Dental Hygienist are available to meet our Residents’ needs towards preventing oral disease. On-site visits occur regularly. Referrals can be made for a Denturist or a Specialist if required.
Grandview Lodge employs a Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Assistants (PTAs) who are available on-site at no cost to the Resident.
A Registered Massage Therapist is available to provide treatments which may help to reduce pain, anxiety and tension for Residents.
Foot care services are provided for our Residents with an on-site specialist administering soothing foot care and identifying foot care concerns.
Transportation to Off-Site Appointments
Transportation to and from Resident appointments outside the home can be scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays with our van driver. Please ask registered nursing staff.
Supplementary Services (Additional Fee)
Grandview Lodge works with registered professionals to provide additional services on-site for our Residents.
