Video Highlights Jobs in Manufacturing Sector
October kicks off Manufacturing Month, which celebrates our many manufacturers in Haldimand.
Manufacturing is the largest industry in Haldimand County’s economy by employment and makes up approximately 16% of the labour force (Haldimand County’s Community Profile 2018).
As part of the celebrations, High School students tour local businesses to learn more about a career in manufacturing.
As well, a “We Make It Here” video is released every year, showcasing local employers and demonstrates the many job opportunities that exist at local businesses.
The videos are the result of a partnership project between the Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie, 3 local businesses, school boards and Haldimand County’s Economic Development and Tourism Division.
