Inclusive Spaces Fund logo

The Inclusive Spaces fund is a Council approved budget of $65,000 to expedite accessibility improvements across existing Haldimand county spaces and facilities. 

The goal of the fund is to enhance accessibility for those with disabilities and the aging population as well as to adhere to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The fund is meant to:

  • Improve accessibility and walkability
  • Reduce social isolation, improve inclusion and intergenerational connections
  • Increase opportunities for participation and volunteerism
  • Enhance access to municipal or community partner-led programs
  • Improve access to, and awareness of, health and community services
  • Make our communities safer
