Pools and Splash Pads

What’s better than cooling off at your neighbourhood pool or splash pad on a hot summer’s day? Pools are located in Caledonia, Dunnville and Hagersville for residents of all ages to enjoy.

See below for information on pool and splash pad locations, lessons, aquatic programs and rentals.

  • All outdoor pools are now closed for the season.
  • The Dunnville wading Pool is closed for the season.
  • The Caledonia and Hagersville Splash Pad’s are closed for the season.

Haldimand County has two splash pads and one wading pool . Splash pad’s  open seasonally from Saturday, May 20 2023 until August 31st with summer operating hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily. After Labour Day Splash pads move to fall operating hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. All splash pads will close September 30th.

The wading pool opens July and closes the last Friday of August operating hours of 11:00 am – 3:00 pm daily.

Haldimand County pools, listed below,  are available for private rentals for personal parties and events. Pool rentals are limited to pool operating times and openings. To inquire about renting Haldimand County facilities please click on the button provided below.

Free Public Swim Programs at all three pools are offered for residents of Haldimand County, Six Nations and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Public swim programs include a general Public Swim, Family Swim, and Length and Fitness Swims.

Haldimand County continues to use Swim for Life as a cost-effective program that is seamless from tots to adults. This in-depth program by the Lifesaving Society stresses lots of in-water practice to develop solid swimming strokes and skills.

Swim for Life is organized into five modules: Parent & Tot, Pre-school, Swimmer, Adult, and Fitness Swimmer. Swimmer levels lead seamlessly into the basic lifesaving awards: Rookie, Ranger and Star Patrol. Use the Swim for Life Registration Chart to determine in which level to register for the next session, or click on the link below and enter your swimmer ID to view your last completed course. Program Cancellations and Refunds

There will be no make-up classes due to absenteeism, weather, emergency or maintenance closings. Refunds will be granted when; Haldimand County cancels a program; and a participant is medically unable to participate a program, medical documentation is required. Extenuating circumstances will be evaluated on a case by case basis by County Staff and a credit may be applied to your Haldimand County account which can be used for future registrations or facility rentals if prior notice has been given.
