Annual Juried Art Show

Haldimand Museums' Annual Juried Art Exhibition presents a varied and interesting mix of styles, subjects and mediums from local and area artists.

Hosted by Haldimand Museums, our annual Juried Art Show is a curated exhibition of local artists, displaying a wide range of styles and mediums. The exhibition is open to established or emerging artists working in all media, including (but not limited to) drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media.

Artists can submit pieces only during the application window, usually in May each year. Pieces are selected by jury and displayed in a public exhibition following a reception and presentation.

For more information on the Juried Art Show, contact museum staff at 905-318-5932 x6516.

Due to the accessibility improvements at Edinburgh Square Heritage & Cultural Centre this year, the Annual Juried Art Show will be temporarily hosted at the Cayuga Heritage Centre for 2026.

Adjudication criteria

The basis for selecting the art will be responsive to the variety of work submitted while recognizing that artists create art for different reasons and from different experiences.

Jurors will look for works that demonstrate personal creative explorations and artistic commitment. Jurors will also consider the execution of the work, as communicated by the artist’s meaning, to select a balanced representation of styles, subject matter, and media from the submissions.
