Haldimand Museum Archives are open by Appointment Only. Any research requests (genealogy or local history) can be made by completing the form below.

About our Archives

The Museums house many important documents, records and photographs of the history of Haldimand County. We can help with local family records, community history and stories of local history. Grand River Sachem, Haldimand Press and other local newspapers are available at Edinburgh Square Heritage & Cultural Centre and at the Heritage Centre.

Genealogy Research Request

Cayuga Library + Heritage Centre, Edinburgh Square Heritage & Cultural Centre and Wilson MacDonald Memorial School Museum

A non-refundable payment of $57.00 is required in advance for the minimum of two hours
of research which includes:
- Photocopying and mailing of information (within reason)
- If no information can be collected regarding your request you will be notified
- If the enquiry proves to be extensive, you will be contacted to confirm the extra hours to continue researching your request.
- Additional research may be requested at a rate of $28.50 per hour.
- Please allow 4-6 weeks for a response.
