Haldimand County recruiting members for various advisory committees and boards of Council
Haldimand County is currently recruiting members for several advisory committees and boards of Council. Members of committees and boards help develop policies, procedures and initiatives to improve municipal programs and services for the community. Interested residents are encouraged to review the Terms of Reference for each committee and apply online starting Monday, June 16, 2025. Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Recruitment is typically held every four years with the commencement of a new term of Council, however, vacancies that come up mid-term must be filled.
Committees and boards currently recruiting new members include:
- Accessibility Advisory Committee
- Business Development & Planning Advisory Committee
- Haldimand County Public Library Board
- Seniors Advisory Committee
- Trails Advisory Committee
- Youth Advisory Committee
Becoming a committee member offers a unique opportunity to contribute personal expertise and make a meaningful impact in the community. By participating in local decision-making, members help shape policies, programs, and initiatives that directly affect residents' quality of life. Serving on a municipal committee also provides a great way to meet new people, build connections with fellow residents, municipal staff, and elected officials, and gain a deeper understanding of how local government operates.
