Hagersville Library + Active Living Centre re-opened, registration open for May, June programs

The Hagersville Library + Active Living Centre has re-opened following a temporary closure required to complete outstanding construction work. A schedule of programs has been released for May and June, and residents are encouraged to explore the different activities and registration options.

Programming and Activities – May until the end of June 2026

Developed with community feedback top-of-mind, programming features a wide range of activities, ranging from arts and crafts to sensory-friendly programs and sports-related offerings like:

  • Pickleball (options for open play, beginner and intermediate)
  • Open Gym (for all age groups, featuring different sports and equipment)
  • Pre-Teen Floor Hockey and Soccer (casual, supervised play and skills-building)
  • Indoor Yard Games (featuring ping pong, cornhole, Jenga and other favourites)
  • Open Badminton

A full list of programs and their descriptions is available on Haldimand’s registration portal, ActiveNet, at link.haldimandcounty.ca. An ActiveNet account is required to register for all programs.

Suggestions for future programs and activities are welcome and may be submitted via the Active Living Centre web page.

Membership options

Individuals and families who plan on attending multiple programs at the Centre are encouraged to look at the optional annual membership available. Membership benefits include a discounted rate on programs ($3 instead of $5) and reduced research fees at Haldimand museums. Memberships can be purchased online through ActiveNet at link.haldimandcounty.ca or in-person at the Centre (11 Athens Street). New members are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled program and check in at the front desk.

10-passes

10-passes are available for purchase for members and non-members through ActiveNet. Anyone who purchases a 10-pass can simply drop in to the Centre, check in with staff at the front desk, and attend the program of their choice. With a 10-visit program pass, registration is not available online for the program in advance; pass-holders can just drop in. 10-passes are available for individuals or families who wish to share.

Pay-per-visit option

Anyone who doesn’t want to commit to a membership can create an ActiveNet account and register for single programs at the regular rate of $5 each. First-time registrants are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled program and check in at the front desk.
