Call for entries: Haldimand County's 28th Annual Juried Art Show

Haldimand Museums is pleased to announce its call for submissions for the 28th Annual Juried Art Show.

The Juried Art Show is open to artists of all ages and experience levels working in any medium, including (but not limited to) painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media.

Artwork completed within the past three years is eligible for entry. Submissions will be accepted at the Cayuga Heritage Centre (19 Talbot Street West, Cayuga) from Wednesday, May 6, to Saturday, May 23, during regular operating hours. An entry fee of $30 per artist applies, with up to three pieces permitted for jury consideration.

In addition to the show's traditional open category, a special commemorative category has been introduced to mark 25 years of Haldimand County. Artists are invited to submit works that celebrate and reflect the community's uniqueness.

Known for showcasing a diverse and compelling range of styles, subjects, and mediums from local and regional artists, the Juried Art Show will run from Thursday, May 28, to Saturday, July 4, with an opening reception and awards presentation taking place on Thursday, May 28, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

While traditionally hosted at the Edinburgh Square Heritage and Cultural Centre in Caledonia, this year the Juried Art Show will be held at the Cayuga Heritage Centre, as the Caledonia gallery is closed for accessibility improvements.

Entry forms are available by emailing museums@haldimandcounty.ca, through the website at haldimandcounty.ca/juriedart, or in person at the Cayuga Heritage Centre.
