The transition period to shift recycling programs from Haldimand to Circular Materials concludes on December 31, 2025. What to know.
The Canborough Waste Management Facility is the only waste depot in Haldimand County. It's located at 499 James Rd., Dunnville, ON.
Starting February 1, 2026, the Canborough Waste Management Facility will no longer accept Blue Box recycling materials.
If you currently receive curbside collection for recycling: As of February 1, 2026, you must use that service for all blue box items, as they will not be accepted at the waste depot.
If you do not receive curbside collection for recycling: If you haven’t already done so, as of February 1, 2026, you will need to explore alternative drop-off locations or private collection options for blue box items, as they will not be accepted at the waste depot.
The public waste drop-off is open year-round for garbage, leaf and yard materials and waste diversion programs.
For eligible bulky items, instead of visiting the drop-off, you can schedule collection by calling Norfolk Disposal Services at 1-800-616-0347 to schedule curbside pickup.
