Traffic signal upgrade planned for June 17, Cayuga

On Wednesday, June 17, crews will be working on the traffic signals at the intersection of Munsee St. and Talbot St. in Cayuga to upgrade them with new control hardware, improved detection equipment, and advanced software.

These improvements will enable signals to respond more effectively to real-time traffic conditions, improving flow and reducing delays.

During this work, the signal may be placed into flash mode periodically for testing between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Drivers are reminded to:

  • Treat flashing signals as a 4-way stop
  • Follow all directions from traffic control personnel and police
  • Use caution when travelling through the area

Thank you for your patience. These upgrades will help improve the overall efficiency, reliability, and safety of the traffic signal system for all road users.
