Tourism businesses invited to participate in “Your Visit Matters” visitor feedback campaign

Tourism Haldimand is inviting local tourism businesses to participate in “Your Visit Matters,” a summer visitor feedback campaign designed to gather insights into who is visiting Haldimand and what inspires their travel decisions.

The campaign will run from May 15 to September 15, focusing on collecting visitor feedback at locations guests already enjoy exploring. Information gathered will help strengthen future tourism marketing, guide product development, and better align visitor experiences with what travellers value most.

“Local businesses play a vital role in shaping the visitor experience in Haldimand, and we appreciate their support in collecting information which will benefit the tourism industry into the future,” said Lidy Romanuk, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism for Haldimand County.

Participation is open to visitor-serving businesses, including:

• Accommodations such as hotels, bed and breakfasts, and campgrounds
• Restaurants, cafés, and eateries
• Attractions and tour operators
• Cultural sites, museums, and galleries

To encourage visitor participation, the campaign includes a contest, giving visitors a chance to win an adventure prize pack valued at $500. The contest provides an added reason for guests to engage while visiting participating locations, helping businesses collect feedback in a fun and rewarding way.

Participating businesses will receive ready-to-display campaign materials, including table tent cards, a postcard survey with contest entry, and a campaign poster. Tourism Haldimand will manage promotion, data collection, and privacy compliance throughout the campaign.

Following the campaign, participating businesses will receive:

• A summary of survey responses collected at their location
• A county-wide roll-up report highlighting overall visitor trends

Tourism Haldimand encourages businesses that welcome visitors to take part and help ensure visitor voices play a role in shaping the future of tourism in Haldimand.
