Street tree planting planned for downtown Jarvis
From October 26 to November 6, 2026, Kodiak Tree Services will be installing new street trees along Talbot Street and Main Street in Jarvis at the following locations:
- 2025 Main Street North – 1 tree
- 2019 Main Street North – 1 tree
- 2007 Main Street South – 2 trees
- 17 Talbot Street East – 3 trees
Work will include:
- Excavating planting pits in sidewalks to accommodate the new trees
- Installing trees and tree grates
Roads and sidewalks will remain open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic throughout the project; however, some roadside parking spaces may be temporarily unavailable in active work areas. Nearby residents and visitors may also experience temporary dust, noise and localized sidewalk disruptions.
The County's contractor will make every effort to minimize these impacts. We appreciate your patience as this work is completed to enhance the streetscape and support the long-term vitality of downtown Jarvis.
