Sold out! All trees have been claimed! Thank you to everyone who registered for the 2026 Tree Giveaway and helped make this Earth Week initiative a success. We appreciate the community’s enthusiasm for planting trees and supporting a healthier, greener Haldimand.

In celebration of Earth Day, registration is now open for the 2026 free tree giveaway, offering residents the opportunity to help grow the County’s tree canopy.

Starting today, Wednesday, April 22, residents can sign up to receive a free tree to plant on their private property. Registration will be open until Wednesday, April 29, or until all trees have been claimed.

A total of 190 trees are available. The giveaway is designed to support backyard tree planting while increasing tree canopy coverage across Haldimand County.
