This is a temporary full-time role (approximately 18 months in duration) at the County, with an annual compensation range of $73,164 to $89,016.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator, Assets & Work Order System Implementation to join our Engineering and Capital Works Department. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of our Money, Assets, People (M.A.P.) systems modernization project by helping implement a new, organization-wide asset and work order management system. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand current asset and work management processes and translate them into a more streamlined, programmatic approach within the new system. By supporting system configuration, testing, rollout, and change management, you will directly contribute to building a more consistent, data-driven, and efficient framework for managing municipal assets and services.

Position Summary
This position plays a key role in the development and delivery of the Assets & Work Orders project in support of our Money, Assets, People (M.A.P.) systems modernization project. As part of this strategic priority, the position will work closely with divisions across the organization to translate their existing asset and work management processes into a streamlined, programmatic approach within the new system. By supporting configuration, testing, and implementation, this role directly contributes to a more consistent, data-driven, and efficient way of managing municipal assets and services.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
Education
- Community College Diploma (Computer and Business Technologies) relative to the area of responsibility
Experience
- Over 2 years and including 3 years of current related experience supporting system implementation, configuration, or business process analysis in a municipal or similar government structure
Knowledge/Skills
- Technical capacity including the ability to effectively understand, apply, and adapt technical knowledge and tools to accomplish tasks, solve problems, make informed decisions and drive innovation
- Ability to effectively manage time and multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability influence, motivate, provide training, using flexible communication styles and to ensure suitable agreement, decisions are reached
- Demonstrated initiative, and ability to make decisions involving broadly defined work, affecting major functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently referring only major problems to supervisor/managers.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise significant discretion and sensitivity involving regular access to confidential data.

- Demonstrated proficient computer skills to perform and troubleshoot common software performance and hardware issues on various technological devices and programs while adhering to cybersecurity and best practices
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for, but not limited to:
Corporate
- Contribute to achieving the municipality’s broader goals through implementation of an Assets & Work Orders system.
- Ensure divisional configurations and workflows align with corporate strategic objectives and IT governance standards.
People
- Act as a liaison between technical staff, vendors (where appropriate), and internal stakeholders from all levels of the corporation.
- Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions to gather business needs and validate workflows.
- Support end-user understanding through documentation and knowledge transfer activities.
Money/Asset
- Help divisions understand system capabilities in relation to work order and asset management best practices.
- Support budget-conscious solution design by recommending efficient and scalable configurations.
Functional
- Translate business processes into system configurations and workflows.
- Conduct testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Analyze and map current and future-state business processes for system implementation.
- Work hands-on in the system to build, configure, and optimize modules to suit divisional needs.
- Troubleshoot configuration or functionality issues and coordinate with vendors as needed.
