Potential Canada Post labour disruption: strike activity to begin May 23, 2025

Canada Post has received notice from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) of their intention to begin strike activity as of Friday, May 23, unless an agreement is reached before then.  

How to prepare

Should a labour disruption occur, mail service to and from Haldimand County will be impacted. Correspondence with Haldimand County will be available by e-mail, phone or at the administration building in Cayuga at 53 Thorburn Street South. Visit our contact page for more information.

For time-sensitive documents, plan to visit the administration building during business hours or use the dropbox off Chippewa Street East.
