Notice of significant weather event – beginning January 25 at 6 a.m.
In response to Environment Canada’s forecasted snow accumulation, Haldimand County has declared a significant weather event for the entire municipality beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, January 25.
Current forecasts indicate more than 25 cm of snow, along with blowing snow and potential whiteout conditions, which are expected to impact travel and municipal services.
During the significant weather event, drivers and residents are advised to use extra caution and to avoid unnecessary travel. While winter parking regulations remain in effect, residents are asked to avoid parking on all municipal roadways during the event to support safe and efficient snow‑clearing operations.
It is not yet known when the weather event will conclude, though it is expected to extend into Monday, January 26. The County will provide updates through its website and social channels as needed.
