Notice of Construction: Caledonia Urban Overlay

Please be advised that road resurfacing work is scheduled to begin nightly on August 24, 2026 at the following locations:

• Argyle Street Bridge (from South Bridge Limit to North Bridge Limit)
• Argyle Street North (from North Bridge Limit to Sutherland Street)
• Forfar Street East (from Argyle Street to Berwick Street)

Work is anticipated to be completed by August 26, 2026.

Construction Activities

Argyle Street Bridge

• Asphalt roadway resurfacing
• Line Painting

Argyle Street North

• Asphalt roadway resurfacing
• Replacement of damaged curb and sidewalk sections
• Line painting

Forfar Street East

• Ashpalt roadway resurfacing
• Line painting
• Conversion to a one-way roadway
• Addition of angled parking along the north side of Forfar Street

Traffic/Noise Impacts

To minimize disruption during daytime hours, construction will be completed as night work between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. from August 24 to August 26, 2026. Argyle Street and Forfar Street East will be closed nightly while work is underway and reopened to traffic each morning.

Residents may experience increased noise from construction activities during this scheduled work period which falls under our Noise By-Law, Section XI, Exemptions, 15. c.

Detour routes and traffic control measures will be in place throughout the duration of the work.
