Nominations open for Haldimand's Volunteer Recognition Awards

Nominations are now open for Haldimand's Volunteer Recognition Awards. These annual awards celebrate the volunteers, projects, events and activities that make Haldimand a vibrant and engaging place to live.

Award submissions will be accepted until Monday, July 14. All nominees will be invited to our Recognition Night in the fall, where the winners will be announced.

Categories accepting nominations include:

• Caring Haldimand
• Community Culture
• Community Festival or Event
• Community Project
• Heritage Haldimand
• Not-for-Profit, Organization, or Group
• Volunteer of the Year
• Youth Volunteer of the Year
• Wall of Fame (Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville, Hagersville, or Jarvis)

All nominations should be completed in full, providing as much detail and supporting documentation as possible, as submissions will be judged as presented. A committee reviews and evaluates all eligible nominations to select the winners. At the discretion of the committee judges, nominations may be reallocated to a different award category from the one initially entered.  

An award recipient from the previous year is not eligible to be nominated for the same category in the current year. Political and public advocacy work is not eligible for these awards.
