Leaf through Haldimand County Public Library's fall lineup
Celebrate the season at Haldimand County Public Library with a diverse selection of fall programs for all ages. Whether you're looking for children's activities, hands-on workshops, or opportunities to learn and connect, the library has something waiting for you.
Children’s fall programs
Registration is now open for children’s fall programs. Children can be registered for the entire 10 week session or register for individual weeks. In-person registration is preferred as it ensures there are enough supplies prepared each week, but drop-ins are welcome. Program dates and times vary by branch and can be found on the library website or by visiting the library branch.
- Storytime (ages 3+): Children will be introduced to different themes each week through books, rhymes, songs, puppets, crafts and creative play. They will also gain early social skills including sharing, taking turns, paying attention, and interpersonal communications.
- Tiny Tales (ages 0 to 2): Children and their parent or guardian participate in a fun and interactive 30 minute session, exploring weekly themes through stories, interactive songs, and activities.
- Stay and Play (ages 0 to 4): Children are invited to listen to a few stories and then stay to play with toys and each other, while parents have an opportunity to socialize.
Each session is $1 per child per week.

Organized and run by Friends of the Caledonia Library, attendees bring whatever books they are currently reading or grab a book from the library shelves, spend a few minutes chatting when people arrive, and then spend a blissful hour reading quietly without interruptions.

Grab and Go bundles
In a hurry? Not sure what to borrow next? Then our Grab and Go bundles might be just what you need. Available at all six branch locations, these pre-selected bundles make choosing materials quick and easy, with options available from both of our children's and adult collections.
Each bundle includes 3 - 7 carefully chosen items: books, movies, magazines, graphic novels, and more. To borrow one, visit the designated Grab and Go area in any branch. Every bundle has a tag describing the theme that connect the items, such as British Mysteries or Counting Books. Simply choose the bundle that interests you and bring the entire bundle to the circulation desk to check them out to enjoy at home. Bundles will be refreshed regularly in every branch, so be sure to take a look each time you visit.
