Hot Mix Paving Program begins for the 2026 season

Haldimand County’s Hot Mix Paving Program is getting underway for the 2026 construction season. The program is designed to enhance road safety, improve driving conditions, and extend the lifespan of County roads.

Work in this program includes placing Hot Mix Asphalt, recycling existing pavement, road resurfacing, driveway and culvert replacements or flushing, ditching, and cross-culvert repairs or replacement.

What residents can expect

During construction, residents can expect traffic delays due to lane closures; however, no full road closures are anticipated for these projects. Once paving work is complete, driveway apron restoration will occur, and mailboxes will be adjusted to match the new road surface height where required.
