Holiday Closure Information

Happy Holidays from all of us at Haldimand County!

As we enter the holiday season, please be advised that some Haldimand County offices and services will be closed or operating on modified schedules. Check the details below to stay informed:

Haldimand County Administration Building

The Haldimand County Administration Building will be closed from December 24, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. through to January 2, 2026.

Provincial Offences Administration

Provincial Offences Court and Administration will be closed from December 24, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. until regular hours of operation resume on January 2, 2026.

Emergency Services

Emergency Services will continue to operate as usual.

Haldimand County Public Library Branches

Haldimand County Public Library branches will be closed December 25, 2025 and January 1, 2026. Hours of operation will be reduced December 24, 2025 and December 31, 2025, closing at 3:00 p.m.

Haldimand County Museums

Edinburgh Square Heritage and Cultural Centre will be closed from December 24, 2025 to January 1, 2026. The Heritage Centre gallery will be open during Cayuga Library branch hours, archives will be closed from December 22, 2025 to January 3, 2026. The Wilson MacDonald Memorial School Museum will be closed  for the season, reopening in March 2026.

Haldimand County Waste Collection

There will be no waste collection on December 25, 2025 or January 1, 2026. Waste collection will be delayed by one day during these weeks with Thursday routes being collected on Friday, and Friday routes being collected on Saturday.

Canborough Waste Management Facility

The Canborough Waste Management Facility will be closed December 25, 2025 and January 1, 2026.
