Haldimand Museums' Remembrance Day event offers an evening of music and local wartime history

Haldimand Museums invites visitors of all ages to honour the fallen through a special Remembrance Day event pairing live music with local history. The event, titled "We Will Remember Them,” takes place on Wednesday, November 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hagersville Active Living Centre, 11 Athens Street, Hagersville.

This unique cultural experience features two distinct presentations. Master storyteller and musician Ian Bell will perform songs and stories reflecting on the First World War, while Heritage Centre Curator Geneva Gillis will present “Haldimand Takes Flight,” an exploration of Haldimand County’s Second World War history, including local Service Flight Training, Bombing and Gunnery Schools.

The cost for this event is $15 per person and includes light refreshments.

Register for this program and other upcoming museum events at rec.haldimandcounty.ca using the “Museums” filter, or in person at the Hagersville Active Living Centre or the Haldimand County Administration Building in Cayuga.
