Haldimand Museums offering flower pressing workshop, historical tour of Cayuga businesses this May

This May, the Cayuga Heritage Centre, located at 19 Talbot Street W. in Cayuga, is offering a creative workshop and walking tour celebrating Cayuga’s rich history.

Visitors can explore a favourite Victorian pastime at the Flower Pressing Workshop on Saturday, May 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants will learn about this traditional activity and create their own pieces of floral art. This workshop is suitable for all ages and would be a great way to spend time with mom, or create a special Mother's Day gift! The cost is $20 per participant which includes all materials.

Members of the public may also enjoy a guided tour of Cayuga’s historical shops to learn about the history of local buildings and their owners. The tour will take place on Saturday, May 16 from 1 to 2:30 pm, and begins at the Cayuga Heritage Centre. The cost is $15 per person.
