Hagersville Road Reconstruction: King Street closures March 23 to April 30

Please be advised that construction work at the CN railway tracks on King Street in Hagersville will recommence on Tuesday, March 23 (weather permitting). This work will require a series of temporary road closures on King Street as outlined below.

Work is anticipated to be completed by April 30.

Traffic impacts and key dates

March 23 to April 30

  • Full closure of all westbound traffic on King Street
  • This closure will remain in effect 24 hours a day, including evenings, weekends, and the Easter long weekend, even when crews are not on-site.

March 23 to April 13

  • Eastbound traffic will continue to be permitted into town on King Street
  • Eastbound traffic will be signed Local Traffic Only

April 13 to April 30

  • Full closure in both directions on King Street
  • This closure is required to complete rail work and undertake necessary paving operations

Detours

Detours for both passenger vehicles and transport trucks will be in place for the duration of the closures to help motorists navigate around the construction area.

For the safety of drivers, construction workers, and railway operations, all residents must use the posted detour routes to access the west end of Hagersville during the westbound closure. Attempting to drive through a construction zone can cause serious and unnecessary risks. We’re asking for full cooperation to ensure everyone’s safety.
