Cayuga Master Servicing Plan Public Open House No. 2 scheduled for June 18, 2025

Haldimand County is in the process of updating the Cayuga Master Servicing Plan. Updating this plan is essential to identify the water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure improvements required for future servicing needs in Cayuga. Now in Phase 2, a second Public Open House has been scheduled for June 18, 2025 to present future conditions, proposed infrastructure improvements, and gather input from stakeholders, rightsholders, and residents.

Existing conditions (Phase 1) were previously presented in January during Public Open House No. 1.

Generally speaking, key purposes of a Master Servicing Plan are to:

  1. Ensure Infrastructure Readiness: Confirm that services are available to support future growth and development.
  2. Coordinate Development: Align infrastructure with land use plans to avoid delays or costly retrofits.
  3. Optimize Costs: Help manage and phase capital expenditures efficiently.
  4. Support Environmental Compliance: Ensure systems (like stormwater) meet regulatory and environmental standards.
  5. Guide Decision-Making: Inform municipal approvals, zoning changes, and development applications.

Members of the public interested in learning more about the plan and providing feedback are encouraged to attend the Public Open House on June 18, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cayuga Memorial Arena – McSorley Room (55 Thorburn St., Cayuga).
