Caithness Street West retaining wall repairs

Repairs to the retaining wall located at 48-62 Caithness Street West are scheduled to begin on or about October 26, 2026.

To accommodate the work, both eastbound and westbound traffic lanes between the Old Fire Hall and Shetland Street will be reduced to 3 metres in width for the duration of construction.

The sidewalk directly in front of the retaining wall will be closed to pedestrian traffic. Pedestrians are asked to follow the signed detour routes via Sutherland Street West to travel around the construction area.

Work is expected to be completed by mid-December.
