Bulky Item Collection

Contact Norfolk Disposal Services at 1-800-616-0347 to schedule a bulky item collection. You can schedule a maximum of two bulky item collections per year with a limit of 6 items per collection.

Unacceptable bulky/large items

• Construction & demolition waste - you may dispose of these materials at the Canborough Waste Management Facility, tipping fees apply
• Metal, including appliances, barbecues, bed frames, furnaces, water heaters, metal bathtubs, storage sheds, and bicycles. You may dispose of these items free of charge at the Canborough Waste Management Facility.

Bulky item collection schedule

Check the Bulky Item Collection Zones map to determine what zone you’re in. You may also call Norfolk Disposal Services at 1-800-616-0347.  Requests must be confirmed by Norfolk Disposal staff no later than the Thursday before the next collection day.

Collection tips

• Once your collection is scheduled and you are given a collection date, ensure to have your materials placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m.
• A two-person crew must be able to lift what you set out
• Rather than disposing of your item and depending on the condition, try donating it to a friend or family member or re-use store
