2022 Tipping Fee (beginning May 1, 2022):

  • $136/tonne
  • $19 minimum fee if less than one tonne
  • $52 per refrigerant containing unit

  • Accepted: tile, flooring (not including laminates), drywall, stucco, wiring, untreated wood, pressure-treated wood, cabinetry, windows, doors, bricks, asphalt, toilets, sinks, piping.
  • Not Accepted: painted or stained lumber, plaster, carpet, laminates, stucco and vinyl siding. Dispose of these items in the garbage.

  • Accepted: GENTLY USED accessories and bags, clothing (all types), curtains, general household textiles (towels, blankets, sheets), shoes and boots, sleeping bags.
  • Not Accepted: household items, electronics and sports equipment, organic and hazardous materials, any other textile items that do not fit inside the bin.

Canborough Canadian Diabetes Bin
  • Accepted: weeds, plant trimmings, leaves, brush, branches, tree stumps.
  • Not Accepted: kitchen scraps, grass clippings, rocks, dirt, sod, flower pots and trays, pet waste. Place these materials in the garbage.
  • Year-round free leaf and yard waste disposal for all Haldimand County residents (non-commercial).  Proof of residency required.  Please note a tipping fee will apply for commercial disposal.
