Notice of Public Meeting: Hydro Legacy Fund Policy Review
On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the Council of the Corporation of Haldimand County will hold a public meeting to present and obtain public input on the County’s proposed changes to the Hydro Legacy Fund Policy 2018-01, as required under section 3 a) of the policy. The Hydro Legacy Fund was established to invest and monitor the proceeds from the sale of Haldimand County Hydro. The proposed changes include:
- Reallocation of the Litigation Allowance to the protected principal of the Hydro Legacy Fund;
- Updated methodology for indexing and allocating interest to the Hydro Legacy Fund in order to protect the purchasing power of the principal as outlined in report FIN-06-2022 Investment Status Report – December 31, 2021.
Interested parties are invited to attend the public meeting in person and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed changes. The meeting is to be held:
