Commissioning of Documents

Commissioner of Oaths

Haldimand County offers Commissioner of Oath (also known as a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits) services at the Cayuga Administration Building. Please note: we do not have a Notary Public on staff.

Commissioning Services are available during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is strongly encouraged to book an appointment by emailing clerk@haldimandcounty.on.ca or by phone at 905-318-5932.

The fee is $23.00 per document. Cash, debit, VISA or MasterCard are accepted.

The person(s) swearing the affidavit must appear before the commissioner. Any person that is signing the document must be present and provide their government-issued identification that includes a photo and signature (i.e. a driver’s licence, provincial photo card or passport).
